Nevşehir is one of the astonishing historic cities that every one should see. It dates back to 3000 B.C. It is the capital city of Cappadocia region. It is stated on a wide plateau that made of volcano tuff of Mt Erciyes, Mt Melendiz and Mt Hasan.

Goreme open air museum is another fascinating place in Nevşehir. There are many caves churches and monasteries constructed in rocks. The natural effects of wind, water and rain turned this area into a spectacular, amazing landscape of rock caves, capped pinnacles and fretted ravines in colors ranging from warm tones of red and gold to cool tones of green and gray. At Derinkuyu, Mazi and Kaymakli, cities were developed underground in order for the inhabitants to hide from raiders. Elmali, St. Basil, St. Barbara, Yilanli, Karanlik, Carikli, and Tokali are some of the churches that situated in here.
Urgup is also another lively touristic center which is worth to see. There are the houses that covered with rocks where people used to live in. You can easily find carpets and kilims to buy as there is a variety of choise. Urgup is also famous with its delicious wine. Every year in October, The International Wine Festival is held here. You can join the tours in daytime and also enjon in discos and bars at nights.
